Installing Vinyl Car Stickers
Applying car stickers or decals can transform a car’s appearance completely. Stickers are commonly used to show support for favourite music or sports team, to advertise a business or simply because the right car vinyls will enhance the appearance of the car. Similar to a tattoo, car stickers add a bespoke look to your vehicle. Installing and removing car decals properly is essential. Some steps must be followed and if you have installed vinyl decals, you want to keep them looking brand-new for a long time. So whether you have them on the car front or back, keep reading for some tips.
Proper car badge (e.g. holden badge) care begins at the installation process, which means that you’ll clean the surface before even installing it. If you have a dirty surface, the decal will not stick properly, nor last. Use rubbing alcohol, soap or water and a clean cloth to wipe down the area, but avoid ammonia-based cleaning products as these may damage the car when you are trying to install the car vinyl. Ammonia weakens the decal’s adhesive, making it difficult for the black Audi badge (for example) to stick appropriately. Likewise, glass-based products leave behind a residue and don’t allow the decal to stick well. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions on the packet, or have a professional do it for you.
